Today is your arrival day. we welcome you upon your arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu. Prior to the activities, arrange a meeting with your guide for briefing about the necessary formalities on your tour and trek program. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby historic/Countryside areas.

Meet your culture guide for Half day sightseeing in Kathmandu World Heritage sights. Explore UNESCO enlisted Hindu and Buddhist temples, observe age old Newari architectures, friendly people; their culture and lifestyle. Our Trek Leader/Guide meets you in the afternoon for the trek briefing and for the final trek preparation. In the evening sample a delicious traditional Nepali Welcome dinner in authentic Nepali Restaurant with the cultural dances that represents different customs and music instruments of Nepal. Private vehicle is there for you to pick up and drop in Hotel with our staff. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Early morning you are picked for Kathmandu airport, for the flight to Lukla. It take us about 30 minutes. At Lukla we meet our porters and head north from the airstrip to Cheplung (2700m). Here we cross the Tharo Kosi River with the help of suspension bridge (Totally local made hand made). Just past the bridge we can see the peak of Kusum Kangru (6367m), which is the most difficult of the so-called “trekking peaks”. Beyond the Tharo Kosi the trail climbs a bit towards Ghat (2590m), we cross a ridge marked with painted Mani stones and climb to Phakding where we stay overnight (3 hrs).

We start the day from Phakding and cross the River to walk through tracts of blue pine and rhododendron forest that is very spectacular in the spring, when the flowers are in bloom. We cross the Dudh Kosi River at the end of Phakdingma staying on the east and west bank of the River, enjoy great views of the snow-capped peaks of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) and Thamserku (6623m). From here it is only a short walk to Monjo (2835m), where we arrive in time for lunch. Then the walking gets a little tougher and includes a steep ascend to Namche Bazaar. It is a short walk to the entrance of the national park, where our permits are checked before we descend quite steeply to again cross the Dudh Kosi to Jorsale (2805m). The trek continues upstream on generally flat terrain, crossing back to the right bank, to the confluence of the Bhote Kosi and Dudh Kosi Rivers. After crossing a large and stable suspension bridge high above the River we climb steeply to the village of Namche Bazaar. A slow and steady pace is recommended on this section of the climb and we are encouraged to make the most of the fantastic photographic opportunities as the peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Taweche come into view for the first time. Since the high altitude effect can be easily apparent here, we recommend you to put your pace slowly.Take your time on this path which is used by the local peoples as a 'foot highway' on this important trading route. At Namche we stay in a lodge in the heart of the village. (6:30 hrs)

We stay at Namche for a second night to allow us proper acclimatization to the high altitude and to enable full exploration of the town and its surrounds. Namche is a prosperous village, situated in a large, protected hollow. It gained its importance during the period when Tibetan salt was traded for the lowland grains of Nepal. Today quite an amount of trade continues at Namche and Tibetans are sometimes seen in the village trading rugs and Chinese-made goods, clothing, salt and dried meat. It is recommended that you take the opportunity to see both the sunrise and sunset views from the national park headquarters above the village. The panorama can be stunning at both times of the day with a superb view of the Khumbu peaks, including great sightings of Everest. After breakfast there are various options, including a walk with a series of great peaks rearing to well over 6,000 meters just to the west. Alternatively you can visit the national park headquarters to see the interesting displays of Sherpa lifestyle and culture. Your guides be on hand to offer advice and to escort you on the walks. Another option is the steep climb out of the village bowl to the flatter areas around and above Shyangboche, Everest View Hotel where beautiful views of Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Tawoche, Peak 38, Thamsherku abound.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4090m.) via Khumjung] and it takes about 7 hours. From Namche the route heads up all the way to Kumjung, a picturesque village which also has its own gompa at the top end of town. Here you can have excellent views of Thamserku, Kantega and Ama Dablam. Soon after leaving Khumjung the trail climbs to a large chorten on top of a ridge. This ridge descends from Khumbila, a 5734m peak, said to be the abode of the patron God of the Khumbu region. The trail descends slightly towards the Sanasa and then trail ascends up to Mongla (4000m.). From here, you can see panoramic views of various mountains. You trek steeply descend passing through Phortse Tenga and from there, the trail climbs steeply to Dole, through rhododendron and birch forest festooned with hanging mosses and lichens. You can enjoy delicious meal at Phortse Tenga (3650m.).

The trail starts today by climbing steeply through scrub junipers to a single lodge at Lhabarma (4330m). We pass the small settlement of Luza (4340m) and continue to climb along the side of the valley, high above the River to Machhermo. It was here that a yeti supposedly killed three yaks and attacked a Sherpa woman. This is the most credible yeti incident ever reported, so be watchful as we visit this region (4 hrs).

Beyond Machhermo the trail climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kantega and upwards to Cho Oyu. Beyond the ridge the valley widens as the trail reaches the small village of Pangka (4390m). After passing Pangka the trail drops briefly, then climbs to a large cave known as Nilibuk. After Nilibuk we climb steeply along a narrow, newly crafted staircase trail. Atop the staircase the trail crosses a simple wooden bridge to the first small lake, Longponga, at 4650m. The trail now becomes almost level as it follows the valley past a second lake, known as Taujun, at 4710m and finally up a boulder strewn path to Gokyo. Gokyo is a collection of stone houses and walled pastures on the shores of a large lake known as Dudh Pokhari (4 hrs).

The views around Gokyo are tremendous. For the best views we climb Gokyo Ri (5410m) today. From here we have a panoramic view of Cho Oyu, Gyanchung Kang, Everest, Lothse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawachee. After we enjoy the view we return to Gokyo village for the night (4 hrs).

To return to Phortse we use a different route from which we used on our way up. We follow the eastern side of the valley to gain different views of Khumbila. Climbing across the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier we reach the village of Na (4400m). The descend from Na along the eastern side of the Dudh Kosi valley is straightforward and we eventually arrive in Phortse (7 hrs).

Today we head towards the east of the Phortse village continueing on the rough trail of the ridges viewing the fantastic sceneries of Amadablam, Tyangboche Monastery and get to the Pangboche Monastery.It is the oldest Monastery in this area. Then the trail goes to join the regular path to Everest Base Camp in the new Pangboche where we start walking towards south crossing the Imjastse and then to Tyangboche Monastery via Nunnery, Rhododendron and Birch Forest Trees. We enjoy our lunch at Tyangboche before we descend down to the Water Driven Phungi Tenga.We cros a suspension bridge and walking uphills to Kynagjuma from where you can view how did you start the trek and ending with the close views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Thamsherku and Amadablam Mountians.(6 hrs)

It is a downhill walk from Kyangjuma to Monjo via Namche, but we are probably all in good shape by now. From Namche, we descend steeply back to the Dudh Kosi River and continue our way past the national park checkpoint at Monjo. We stay near the around the checkpoint (4 hrs)

It’s about three hours last day walking to Lukla.We walk along the River Dudh Koshi again and take a final uphills from Chheplung to Lukla.It’s our last night where you never like to miss final chatting with our Guide and Porters.
